Adapted Music Kit

iPad

This amazing kit offers eight adapted instruments which the Students at Standing Tall can use to independently create music. Often children with motor impairments are unable to create music on their own. They are restricted to having someone else hold their hand to guide them hitting the drum or shaking the tambourine. But with adapted equipment, the students hid a switch (often a large button), that our students can access independently, and we can customize how each student accesses the instruments. The kit includes the following adapted equipment: Bongo Drums, Drum, Ring Around Bells, Mini Carillon, Music Machine with Instruments, Band Jam, Musical Snail and Lighted Musical Tambourine. The investment is $1500.

Adapted Etch-A-Sketch

iPad

Remember playing with an etch-a-sketch when you were a child? For our students, the typical Etch-A-Sketch requires fine motor skills that they don’t have, but with the Adapted Etch-A-Sketch, the world of independently drawing becomes available. With two levels of adaptability, enabling great customization for each student in the classroom, our students will be able to doodle, sketch, and create images of their choosing. This is something most of our students have never done before. This would be an amazing gift to our classroom. The investment is $220.

Hungry Hippo has been a favorite game for children for decades! And the adapted version finally makes it available to our students with severe motor impairments. This game will enable four of our students to sit together and play independently. Imagine the joy it will bring them, while also helping them develop socially and physically. The investment is $128.

Financial Aid

Tuition, cost of therapies, and just the general care of a special needs child can be a tremendous burden on families.

Help us build our financial aid fund so that students can receive the care they need, with less financial strain on their families.

Download iGive:

This is a wonderful passive way to give to Standing Tall.  When you download the iGive Plug-In onto your computer, it automatically notices when you shop online at iGive-sponsored stores and it automatically collects a percentage of your purchase (usually 1-3%) and passes it along to Standing Tall.  You will see a little iGive button pop-up whenever you happen to land on an iGive retailer.  Hundreds of popular online stores are affiliated with iGive.  Here is a small sampling of online stores that will automatically give a percentage of sales to Standing Tall if you have the iGive Plug-In downloaded onto your computer:
